Many churches today convey the idea that there is a “special class of sinners” or a special way of salvation, which is not biblical. None of us are born to desire God, and none of us have “special sins.” We are all born with a dark heart. We are all sinners in need of salvation. We cannot save ourselves, and we must recognize that salvation does not come by doing good deeds or by hearing words that make us “feel good.” It comes by hearing the words of faith.
