Silver trumpets are used for several purposes in God’s plan. In the Old Testament, they were used to call the people to assemble, for the journeying of the camps, and to proclaim the Feast of Trumpets. Today, the trumpet is a symbol of the gospel, the finished work of Christ, and a clarion call to all who will hear His word. Seven trumpets will be blown in the end times. When the last trump sounds, it will be a call to assemble and a call to battle against Satan and his minions as the great day of wrath begins.
