Not much has changed from the time of the early church, which had been infiltrated with apostasy and heresy. To counter this attack, the apostle John wrote to his congregation, instructing them to be connected in fellowship with God and with one another. These simple instructions are often misunderstood, but if followed, they will keep the church in check and on track.
