Longsuffering is part of the fruit of the Spirit, an attribute of God’s nature that He imparts to us as we trust Him and take Him at His word. He gives this to us to help us to endure and overcome, and to equip us to do what He has called us to do. God’s longsuffering teaches us there is no crown without the cross. We are being transformed by the power of God’s nature deposited in us. God will see us through our sufferings to the end, to show us they were not in vain.
