Too many people in the pulpit are teaching everything other than the gospel of Jesus Christ, including things that do not belong in the church. A minister is supposed to teach and correct the people in meekness; not in weakness, but in full strength, yet paradoxically gentle. By chastening people who resist and are opposed to the gospel, proper teaching can bring about repentance and free them from the snare of the devil unto the knowledge of the truth rooted in Christ.
