There are two separate and distinct judgments: the “judgment seat of Christ” for believers, known as the bema, and the “great white throne” judgment for nonbelievers. At the judgment seat of Christ, faith will be rewarded and worthless works will be burned up. Since salvation and evil deeds are not in question here but rather an accounting of our stewardship, this message should be a wake-up call to a lethargic church.
