Pastor Scott tackles Jude verses 22–23, which is a notoriously difficult passage to translate. Jude instructs the saints to have mercy on those who have already been exposed to God’s word and are now doubting. For those who are beyond doubting, Jude instructs us to try to save them as if we are rushing into a fire to snatch them out. As we wait on the mercy of the Lord unto eternal life, we are to have mercy on those doubting ones and hate the filth of their defiled state without hating them.
