As background to the teaching Paul had to do to counter the false doctrine of angel worship, we can look to the Scriptures to make sure we understand the nature and role of angels. There are different categories of sometimes seen and sometimes unseen created beings who carry out assignments from God. Ultimately, whether they are good or evil angels, we are not to worship them: we are to be followers of Christ.
