In Pastor Scott’s eighth message out of the book of Jude, she discusses the error of Balaam. A casual reading of Balaam’s story makes him look like a good man who obediently delivered the word of God. However, Jude, John, and Peter each warn against the way of Balaam: against prophets for hire and the introduction of syncretism into the church. Balaam enticed the children of Israel to worship other gods, bringing the people into apostasy as he lined his own pockets.
