To be a slave is to be attached to a master. It is a glorious thing, and not pejorative, to be slaves of our Maker. The New Testament epistle writers identified themselves as "doulos", slaves of Christ. We have been bought with a price, and we belong to Him. Our Master knows our troubles and He cares about us.
