The Lord Chose Matthew
In the eyes of the Jewish community in his day, Matthew the tax collector was a crook, an outcast, and the worst kind of person Jesus could have called to be His disciple. God called and chose him not only to follow Him, but to use his attention to detail to write a meticulous record of the Lord and His sayings. By God's grace, a man considered the vilest of the vile truly became a gift of God. Matthew. VF-2125
