Jacob: In His Strength, He Strove With God
Jacob wanted God's blessing, but he wanted it his way. It took a night of wrestling with the Lord, for Jacob to finally accept who he was 'the Heel-Catcher'. After crippling Jacob, God blesses him and gave him a new name, Israel, meaning "God Governed". Through the life of Jacob we learn about ourselves. Let God take your life and rule it. And if it takes crippling, thank God for that too. Deuteronomy 28:47, Psalm 46:11,Psalm 84:8, Hosea 12:2. VF-1116 © Copyright 1998
