God intended his relationship with us to be a personal one.  Our sins have created a barrier between us and Him.  Jesus came among us preaching Himself, a living person with whom we can relate.  Like Elijah and the disciples, we need to practice an awareness of the person always present with us.  Our faith should be in that unseen Master.   I Peter 1:8.
