In Deuteronomy 8, God says for us to remember all the ways that He has led us, and that it’s to humble us, prove us, and know our heart. All this training does us good in our latter end, and on top of God proving us to know our heart, we get to know ourselves and that we’re not traitors but faithers who hold on to God and His word when times get tough.
