The miracles that Elisha performed often centered on water, oil, food, or life and death.  They reflected what was lacking in the people, and they were designed to turn the people back to God.  These miracles showed the people what God could do if they were obedient to Him.  God washes us, provides for us, gives us His Spirit and the Bread of Life, and gives us resurrected life. 2 Kings.
