Obadiah is a small book with only 21 verses, but it has a much larger message.  Through the prophet, God tells what will be done to the Edomites, who scoffed at His people and did not value the things of God.  This book applies to the time when it was written and to a future time when those who refuse to repent and turn to God will be forever cut off from His presence.
