In Luke 18:1, Jesus says that we Christians ought always to pray. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks, “when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Christ is looking for faith when He comes and not just prayer and belief. And in the very process of strengthening the church in its giving, a pastoral warning is given: since Jesus said, “we ought always to pray“, take heed that prayer is not neglected while your focus is on giving.
