Prior to the resurrection, Jesus was with God in eternity, sharing equally with God, and of the same form as God. He then became something He never was before: Son of God in the flesh. At the resurrection, He overcame the flesh by the power of the Spirit and took His body to a new state of being, a new creature, a new race, which is the beginning, the firstborn of what all the children of faith adopted in the family of God will become: immortal beings of eternity!
