The slavery described in the Bible is not like the slavery of modern times. It is a product of fallen man.  God did not ordain slavery, but He worked with it for a purpose.  Hebrew slaves were treated well, almost like a part of the family, and many willingly entered into servitude.  We should all have a relationship of willing obedience to our Master.
