In Judges 6:14, we learn that Gideon's might was that the Lord sent him.  We are sent by the Lord the same way Gideon was sent by the Lord. According to Acts 1:8, we are called and chosen to be witnesses.  That means our part in carrying our cross each day as witnesses is on par with the assignment God gave to Christ. Judges 6; Acts 1:8.
