In the Book of Galatians, Paul writes to the Galatians to let them know that there is only one gospel and our salvation comes for our faith, not the works of the law. The meaning of the word “gospel” is “good news” and Galatians 1:3 tells us what that good news is all about: grace (unmerited favor) and peace (cessation of againstness) from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ. Because Jesus’ own perfect life was of sufficient worth and because He paid the price (His death on Calvary), we have access to eternal life in exchange for our faith in Him and His word.
