Faithfulness in Things of Eternity vs. this Generation
In Luke 16, the Parable of the Unrighteous Steward, Jesus is making the point that the children of this world, also know as the children of darkness, are wiser in ensuring their prosperity in this world and the things of time that the chosen of God, the children of light, since most Christians do not seek eternal rewards with the vigor that the children of darkness pursue the wealth of this world. Jesus makes it clear that when we Christians are faithful in our seeking of eternal rewards (true riches), we are automatically faithful in our stewardship of God's possessions here on earth. Giving tithes and first fruits to God is synonymous with faithfully seeking eternal rewards. Matthew 6; Luke 16. VF-0678. © Copyright 1990
