Elijah prayed earnestly that it wouldn’t rain. Elijah cared more about God’s word than his own well-being, and he put himself at risk on what God had already said in His word. God’s word has already promised us that if we bring the tithes into the storehouse that he will pour out a blessing not room enough to receive it. God is looking for Christians to act in faith on His word and give their tithes and offerings with risk to their own well-being before the blessing comes, not after. 1 Kings 17; James ; Malachi 3:10. VF-0612. © Copyright 1988
