The word “blessed” in Psalm 84 is a never wavering, never deviating, existential state of being.  Christians can and should move along their faith journey in this blessed state, but there is a requirement: passing through valleys of weeping.  The cause of valleys of weeping is irrelevant.  Valleys are necessary for the Christian journey because without them, there is no spiritual growth.  But when we journey through the valley in a blessed state, we go from strength to strength and turn the valley into a place of springs for others and ourselves.
