There are two Greek word groups for the English “to fill” and its related words in the New Testament.  One word group describes a filling of the Spirit that is foundational and required for the Christian. The other is a discretional gift from God that is a pouring out of His Spirit to equip for service and accomplish His work. Ephesians, Acts. VF-2448.
