The Passover was a shadow and type pointing to Christ. God had a plan to reveal Himself to the children of Israel and to judge the people of Egypt. By applying the blood of the lamb to the door, God’s people were spared from the tenth plague, the death of the firstborn. Although they had not known God, He had a plan for them: if they obeyed His voice, He would deliver them.  VF-2508.
