Instead of listening to his vocabulary of doubt, Gideon displaced it and made peace with God as he surrendered his questioning mind, and he took God at His word and built an altar: Jehovah-shalom.  This altar became the symbol of Gideon’s final surrender to God’s word. LF-0096 © Copyright 1978
