God chooses the name “Lord God of Hosts” in Psalm 84:8 when He wants to make the point that everything is under His control. God sets the limits on angels and demons, and He controls the heavenly bodies; every inanimate object is also under His control. What satan wants us to believe is that the reason God isn’t answering us in our valley is because we have yet to graduate to a hero of faith status as Jacob did when his name was changed to Israel. But Psalm 84:8 lets us know that the God of Jacob will hear our prayers, while we are still a conniving heel-catcher full of doubt.  Psalm 84. VF-0671. © Copyright 1989
