In 1 Corinthians 1:18, it is clear that Christians have a choice of two paths to follow and each involves a process: the process of perishing or the process of being saved. Those that are in the process of being saved embrace the cross and the dying that it brings. When we flee from the cross, it just gets worse whereas when we embrace it, an infusion of God’s power is our portion.
